Rain Hoffmann has had a passion for skincare ever since she can remember. Growing up in an Indian household, her grandfather would teach her all about ayurvedic medicine and holistic treatments used to cure ailments using eastern medicine. Rain would sit and create many at home skincare masks and treatments mixing fruits, spices and herbs and share them with her closest friends and family. Her loyal skincare followers would joke asking what mask is in season this week and which new experimental herb can we look forward to trying.
After graduating from highschool, Rain began her college career at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa and pursued a career in Opera and Musical Theater Performance which created the opportunity to travel all over the United States as well as internationally including Europe and India. Because of her natural passion for skincare and beauty, she would research and collect all the latest skincare and beauty from around the world.
After performing in the United States as well as internationally, Rain chose to pursue a new career and received her bachelors of science in Medical Diagnostic Imagery from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Working in the Main Line Healthl System and working as an assistant at a dermatology office for ten years, she received an invaluable solid foundation in medical procedures, sterile techniques, biopsy and surgical procedures, dermatology foundations as well as compassion for patients and a look into the many intricate levels of patient care.
After ten years, Rain was missing her creative side. She decided to go back to school to pursue her esthetician license and at the same time became a professional certified makeup artist at the renowned Artist Makeup Academy of NYC/MIA. After graduating, Rain worked in NYC on sets, photoshoots, runway and fashion shows. As many makeup artists know, the skin is your true palette. If the palette is unhealthy, dehydrated or textured, there is no amount of makeup in the world that will fix it. After seeing so many frustrated models and clients suffer from unhealthy, broken out skin, it became her passion to truly help her clients feel better about themselves in their own skin, Hence, Your Skin Prescription was born. Rain took her passion for skin, science, love of clients and her creativity to be able to pursue a career where she could really shine and love what she does every single day and most importantly bring fulfillment to her clients.
